05.03.2025 NSAMA TOWN COUNCIL OFFICIALLY WELCOMES 25 NEWLY RECRUITED MEDICAL STAFF MEMBERS.

Nsama Town Council officially welcomed 25 newly recruited medical staff members who have been placed in 18 health posts across the district. The recruitment aims to strengthen healthcare services in the area, addressing the long-standing shortage of medical personnel.
Speaking at the welcoming event, Nsama Town Council Secretary, Mr. Raphael Kamanga urged the new staff to settle in quickly and embrace their new home. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and ethics in their daily duties, encouraging them to serve the community diligently. “This is now your home, and we expect you to give your best in providing quality healthcare to our people,” he said.
Nsama Town Council Mayor, Mr. David Siame, echoed similar sentiments, urging the new staff to remain committed to their roles despite the challenges of working in a rural setting. “We understand that adjusting to a new environment may not be easy, but with an open mind and dedication, you will make a significant impact,” he stated.
District Administrative Officer, Mrs. Getrude Nkonde, cautioned the new recruits against using Nsama as a temporary station before seeking transfers. “We have seen cases where medical staff come to rural areas as a stepping stone to move elsewhere. We encourage you to stay and truly serve the community,” she said.
District Commissioner, Mr. Steward Katele expressed his gratitude to the government for responding to the district’s healthcare needs by deploying 25 medical professionals. He highlighted the severe shortage of healthcare workers in the past and commended the government for listening to the people’s concerns. “Your presence here is a sign that the government hears and responds to the needs of its citizens. We urge you to remain in your posts and serve with dedication,” he said.
The arrival of the new medical personnel marks a significant step toward improving healthcare services in Nsama, with hopes that it will lead to better medical care and access for the local population.
