Residents of Nsama District are witnessing a new wave of development as road construction works officially commence in the area. The appearance of a water bowser on the dusty roads signaling active efforts to upgrade the local road network.
The ongoing works mark a major milestone in government efforts to improve rural infrastructure and foster economic growth in remote areas.
Speaking on the progress, Nsama District Council Secretary Mr. Raphael Kamanga confirmed that the road works are part of a broader infrastructure development project supported by the local authority.
“This is not just about grading roads,” Mr. Kamanga said. “We are laying the foundation for lasting transformation in Nsama. The presence of the water bowser is a clear sign that road development is in full swing. Once this phase is complete, we intend to move a step further by introducing street lighting in key areas to enhance security and improve the night-time environment.”
Mr. Kamanga noted that the council is working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the road network not only serves transportation needs but also supports future urban development.
Community members have expressed gratitude for the development, with many saying it has brought hope for better market access, school transport, and health service delivery.
The Nsama District Council has urged residents to cooperate with road crews and ensure safety as the works continue.
